Key Personnel

Kevin Keeley – President and CEO

Kevin is the President & CEO of NCSP, LLC with more than 27 years of experience in the steel industry and has been in various leadership roles in New Castle, including COO/CFO/VP Human Resources.  He spent  several years in public accounting with Deloitte Indianapolis, focusing on manufacturing companies,  at the beginning of his career. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and is a CPA. He and Mike Stateczny formed M&K Partners, LLC to facilitate the management buyout of the New Castle business from Outokumpu in 2016.

Andy Personett – VP Technical

Andy holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and has worked for NCSP and it’s predecessors at the New Castle site since 1997 and is one of the founding members of NCSP.  He started as the laboratory manager and served various quality and technical roles in the organization until becoming VP Technical in 2012.  His responsibilities include overseeing all quality control, quality assurance and laboratory functions, technical customer service, ASTM representation, and assisting with IT services.

Tony Palermo – VP Commercial

Tony joined New Castle Stainless Plate in November of 2017 as Regional Manager East and Mid-West. He earned a BS in Metallurgy at Carnegie-Mellon University, an MS in Metallurgy at the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Palermo leads NCSP’s market development efforts and is a member of the Materials Technology Institute. His 32-year career includes various leadership roles in sales, quality control, operations, R&D, and management in the steel and industrial gases industries. Palermo will continue to work from Middletown, NJ. Tony was promoted to his current role as VP Commercial in January 2022.

Fred Centner – VP of Supply Chain & Customer Service

Fred has more than 28 years of experience in the steel industry starting his career at Al Tech Specialty steel in Dunkirk, NY.  He had been instrumental in developing and enhancing our order entry and planning infrastructure given his background in Computer Science and Mathematics as a 1990 Graduate of SUNY Fredonia, NY.   Fred is the key contact with all melt shops, scheduling, logistics, IT support, and operations personnel to ensure the integrity of all important stakeholder interfaces.  Fred currently lives in New Castle Indiana and enjoys playing golf, guitar, and supporting local musicians.

Lori Lucas – VP of Finance and Human Resources

Lori started with the New Castle facility in 2001 (then AvestaPolarit) in the accounting department and has been in various finance roles over the last 22 years.  She started her career in public accounting after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Anderson University and has her MBA/CPA licenses. In her spare time, she likes to travel, go hiking and spend time with her family.  She successfully completed a marathon on in every state in April 2022.

Brian Chew – VP of Operations

Brian joined the New Castle team in 1998 and is a graduate of Purdue University. He has taken on increasing levels of operational responsibility leading to his promotion to the senior operations role at our facility in July 2021.

Mike Leyes – Director of Engineering and Maintenance

Mike has worked at the New Castle facility in the Engineering Group since graduating from Valparaiso University in 1986. He was promoted to the senior engineering position in 2011 and responsible for all capital projects and maintenance at the site.

Brent Crabtree – Director Operations Control

Brent is starting his 31st year in New Castle having started in production after his honorary discharge from the United States Air Force. He was promoted to Warehouse Manager in 1996 and has worked closely with our Logistics partners, plant operations and customers to insure excellent communication and the optimal flow of our finished products. Brent will be the lead contact with our logistics partners and continue to support operations and supply chain to optimize cost and material flow. Brent received a degree in Computer Science from Ivy Tech in 2004.

Denise Crabtree – Planning Manager

Denise is starting her 23rd year in New Castle working and has extensive experience in production planning and scheduling.  She will be the primary contact with our external rolling partners and report directly to Brian Chew who leads our overall Operations team.

Sales Staff

Scott Draudt – Regional Sales Manager

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Kentucky University, and has been employed with NCSP and its prior entities since 1988. He started on the inside sales desk at the New Castle plant and through his tenure has sold stainless pipe, bar and sheet products. Scott is currently responsible for Plate sales in the Southwest and Western US as Regional Manager. He currently lives with his wife, Mary Lynn in The Woodlands Texas and has two daughters that both graduated from University of Oklahoma.

Thomas Puetzhofen – Regional Sales Manager

Thomas is the newest addition to our sales staff and was hired by NCSP in October 2021.  Thomas’s family has been in the steel industry for three generations. His stainless steel sales career started 14 years ago at ThyssenKrupp Stainless in Krefeld Germany. In 2010 Thomas transferred to Chicago as an Outside Sales Representative for ThyssenKrupp/Inoxum, which later merged with Outokumpu Stainless. In 2015 he was named Sales Manager for Outokumpu Stainless Pipe (now Primus Pipe & Tube).  Thomas will continue to work from Jacksonville, FL.

Tony Stewart – Inside Sales Manager

Tony has been at the New Castle office for over 35 years, starting as he was finishing up his degree at Ball State University.  He has experience in the lab, production planning and a stint as the warehouse manager. He has spent more than 20 years in the sales office.  Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with his family and performing at the local community theater.

Robin Teague – Sr. Inside Sales Rep

Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University, that she earned while working at the New Castle office and has been with the company for 31 years.   Robin started in 1988 in sales as a temporary part-time employee, within 6 months she was hired full-time.  She soon started moving through the company from clerical in sales, to accounting, then into production planning, into the warehouse as supervisor and then back into the sales department as an inside salesperson where she has been for 13 years.   Robin lives in New Castle and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
